I am delighted to introduce myself as one of your new Town Councillors. Having lived in Paddock Wood for the past two years, after moving from Pembury, I am proud to call this community my home. My family has deep roots in Kent, spanning generations, which makes this opportunity even more meaningful to me.
With over 15 years of experience as a Presiding Officer in local government, I am deeply committed to civic duty and democratic processes. Now retired from that role, I am eager to bring my skills and experience to the Town Council. In my professional life, I serve as an Executive Assistant in Telecoms, where I support senior leadership with strategic coordination and communication.
Beyond my professional background, I have a great passion for the Arts and am an active committee member with the Sugarcraft Guild, I am interested in bringing more Arts to the town. I believe strongly in the importance of inclusive community engagement and look forward to meeting as many of you as I can.
I am excited to work with all of you, to hear your views and contribute to the continued growth and success of our wonderful town.
