PER15 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest.
PER16 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
To APPROVE minutes of the meeting held on 27th January 2022.
PER17 MATTERS ARISING
- a) The new Estates Manager has been appointed and will start work with the Council on the 1st April 2022.
- b) The National Joint Council has finally agreed salary increases for 2021/22. An award of 1.75% has been made, back dated to April 2021. This award is for the office staff only, Estates staff had previously received 2%.
PER18 HR SUPPORT
Croner had been appointed for HR support for the Council and sent the following documents for approval by the Council.
- a) Revised Staff Hand Book – this contains all previous staffing policies and once approved will be made available to all staff.
- b) Revised staff contracts – addendum
PER19 HEALTH AND SAFETY SUPPORT
Croner also offer H & S support. A quotation has been requested and is attached for consideration. The Council had previously allocated £3000 for HR Support – the current contract costs £2148 for a 12 month contract. This will reduce if the council signs up for a 5 year agreement next year.
Additional H & S support will cost a further £2088 – again reducing if the council signs up for a 5 year agreement.
Members are asked to consider whether the council should take the offer of H & S support as well.
