PE162 CHAIRMANS UPDATE

The Tunbridge Wells Local Plan hearings timetable have been published.

Consultant Troy Hayes has suggested that Town Council submit a hearing statement and participate in some of the Matters and sessions which relate to Paddock Wood. Whilst Town Council still need to respond to the final Main Modifications consultation, this is very likely the final opportunity to influence the Inspector in hearings before the plan is finalised and adopted.

Troy Hayes has arranged a meeting to discuss this further with Cllr C Williams and the Deputy Clerk on Tuesday 14^th May. The sessions will need to be decided at this meeting as Friday 17^th May is the deadline for confirming which sessions Town Council wish to participate in. Cllr C Williams will then be able to relay this at the next Planning meeting on Monday 20th May.

Cllr D Kent, Cllr R Moon, Cllr M Munday and the Deputy Clerk met with Tunbridge Wells planning officers Carlos Hone and Kevin Hope to discuss Paddock Wood and the Local Plan. A further meeting is being organised to involve more of the councillors in discussions.
