PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that a casual vacancy has occurred in the Office of Councillor for the West Ward of Paddock Wood Town Council following the resignation of Councillor Elizabeth Thomas.
Rule 5(2) of The Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules, 2006 now applies.
The rule allows for ten local government electors for the West Ward of Paddock Wood Town Council to request the Returning Officer to hold an election to fill the vacancy. If by Thursday 27th May 2021 (fourteen days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice*) a request for an election to fill the said vacancy is made in writing or emailed to the Returning Officer:
