Unfortunately travellers broke into the Elm Tree football pitches on Friday 26th March, destroying the bollards and cutting open the gate. A large amount of damage was done to the pitches and the area is also having to be sanitised to removed rubbish and human waste. The Town Council would like to extend thanks to Kent Police and TWBC Community Safety Unit, who worked hard to remove them by Saturday, for dealing with this so promptly and effectively in conjunction with the Town Clerk. The Town Council is arranging and paying for the repair of the pitches by a sports landscaping company.
