Remembrance 2020 – Paddock Wood

Remembrance Sunday 8th November 2020

Due to the current restrictions relating to Covid the usual format for the event in Paddock Wood is not possible this year. There will not be a parade or any event for the wider community. The gate to the War Memorial in Commercial Road will be open for a couple of hours from 12 pm on the day so that people wishing to lay wreaths or place crosses can do so.

Poppy sellers will not be able to go out so donations can be made online via the Royal British Legion -Every Poppy Counts – page

 https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/get-involved/ways-to-give/donate

The Legion asks that people do not forget the servicemen at this time and do their best to donate if they are able so that the work of the Legion to support them can continue.

Closure of Day Centre

Due to the government advice regarding the Covid 19 outbreak the Town Council has closed the Day Centre in Commercial Road from this Friday, 20th March.

The Town Council offices at St Andrews Field are closed to visitors but can be contacted in the normal way by telephone and email as the officers will continue to work from the office for now. 01892 837373 email: clerk@paddockwoodtc.co.uk
