MINUTES of the Planning and Environment Committee meeting held on Monday 5th December 2022 at 7.45 pm at the Day Centre Commercial Road

PE54   APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

To APPROVE the minutes of the meeting held on 17thNovember, 2022.

The minutes were APPROVED.

Cllr C Williams proposed and Cllr M Ridger seconded that the Council appreciate the applicant’s measures to address the concerns of both the Town Council and local residents and therefore withdraw their objection to this application.

Removal of existing garage, Erection of new garage, Removal of hedging, Replace with brickwork boundary wall Cllr C Williams proposed and Cllr A Mackie seconded that despite the loss of the hedge the Council have no objection to this application. 3 in favour 1 abstention
22/03127/LDCEX Lucks Lakes Lucks Lane Paddock Wood Tonbridge Kent TN12 6PA. Lawful Development Existing – Change of use of land and the stationing of a residential mobile home Cllr C Williams proposed and Cllr A Mackie seconded that the Council object to this retrospective application as the area is in the flood zone and unsuitable for residential use. The area of this application experiences regular surface water flooding often rendering the road impassable. Unanimous
22/02993/FULL 94 Allington Road Paddock Wood Tonbridge Kent TN12 6AS. Erection of first floor extension above existing garage, Addition of stair access to loft Cllr C Wiliams proposed and Cllr M Ridger seconded that the Council have no objection subject to management of the surface water run off from the additional roof area and this not being via a soakaway. Unanimous
22/03354/FULL 92 Cogate Road Paddock Wood Tonbridge Kent TN12 6UG. Erection of new detached garage Cllr C Williams proposed and Cllr T Bisdee seconded that the Council have no objection to this application subject to a restriction being placed on the building to prevent it being used for any purposes not residential and ancillary to the main house. Members discussed the Inspectors response and are waiting for the reply from TWBC at which point there may be an opportunity to consult further according to what the Inspector decides.
