MINUTES OF A MEETING of the Planning Committee held on Monday 16th September 2024 at 7pm at the Day Centre Commercial Road

PE53  CHAIRMANS UPDATE

a) 18/03262/FULL (Land Rear Of 24 – 38 Commercial Road Paddock Wood Tonbridge Kent TN12 6EL) – It has been brought to the attention of PWTC, that the class on the commercial unit may not be allocated for a cafe/restaurant.

There does not appear to be a change of use application, so the committee are unable to clarify this. As the inspector’s decision stipulated ‘Limiting the commercial unit to A1 retail use only’ This condition meant the food premises that were in situ prior to the application being approved, were not able to stay in the commercial units aft the build was completed. Concerned there is a breach of conditions the Borough Councillors will take this up with TWBC to clarify.

 

b) Remembrance Sunday 2024 planning meeting will be held on Wednesday 25th September at 7:30pm in the Day Centre, Commercial Road. All organised groups have been invited.

c)    Stage 3 New Evidence Base Documents for the Draft Local Plan have been submitted. The Public Consultation will be held 11 September 2024 – 23 October 2024.
