MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE HELD ON Tuesday 11th April 2023, at the Day Centre, Commercial AT 7 pm.

GOV 33 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
GOV34 CO-OPTION GUIDANCE
Members considered the council’s existing guidance for co-option after an election.
They also reviewed a more detailed policy which had been supplied previously.
Cllr R Atkins proposed, Cllr Kent seconded:
That the existing guidance should be adopted with the inclusion of the following paragraph “If there is more than one vacancy and the number of candidates equals the number of vacancies, all the vacancies may be filled by a single resolution of the Council.”
CARRIED unanimously.
