ES42 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
ES43 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
To APPROVE the minutes of the previous meeting.
ES44 MATTERS ARISING FROM THE PREVIOUS MINUTES NOT COVERED ELSEWHERE ON THE AGENDA.
ES45 VANS
The Toyota Dyna van has passed it MOT with advisories. The cost to repair the body is £3000. The vehicle is 16 years old with a mileage of 44,000.
Members are asked to determine the following:
Option 1 – sell the van and purchase a newer one. The trade in value will be minimal.
Option 2 – repair the body work and keep the van for the foreseeable future.
Once the decision has been made the vehicles will have new logos applied.
ES46 PUTLANDS POND
To receive a verbal update on the current position.
ES47 BENCH/NOTICEBOARD/BIN REVIEW
To agree any replacements for the 2025/26 budget. See attached documents.
ES48 WAR MEMORIAL PLANTING
The council has been asked by the Community Gardner Group whether they could take over the planting & management of the planters around the War Memorial. They currently have an agreement with TWBC to look after the planters by the Eastern Car Park.

ES49 VE DAY CELEBRATIONS
Heritage Paddock Wood are looking to organise an event at the Memorial Field for VE Day May 2025. The Council has been asked to give permission for cars to be parked on the field and for use of the pavilion for refreshments. Permission would of course be subject to the weather.

ES50 CHRISTMAS LIGHTS 2025
The current lease agreement on the Christmas lights expires this year. The lights are now 6 years old.
The contractor has offered two options for a new 3-year lease agreement:
Brand new lights – £9200/year
Refurbished lights – £6,600/year
The council pays £5,800/year on the current three-year agreement.
Examples of the motifs are attached.
Members are asked to decide if they wish to have a contract for new motifs in 2025/26 or refurbished ones.

ES52 TREEWORK
There are two dead trees in the woodland to the rear of Putlands. A contractor has been engaged to remove them
ES53 COMMUNITY FOOTBALL MATCH
There will be a community football match at the Memorial Field on Friday 25th October. The teams will be made up of local police officers v the community of any age. Town Council staff will install the posts and the mark out the pitch for the event.
ES54 PADDOCK WOOD BOWLS CLUB
Paddock Wood Bowls Club have asked if they can remove the hedging around their site and possibly replace it with a fence. The lease & planning permission have been checked and whilst the lease is silent on the matter, it would appear that planting the hedge was part of the planning permission. The Bowls Club have been advised to check with the planning authority.
