ES102 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
ES103 MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
To APPROVE the minutes of the meeting held on Monday 10th March 2025
ES104 MATTERS ARISING FROM THE PREVIOUS MINUTES
(a) ES94 – the order for the levelling work at Memorial Field has been placed. The start date is awaited.
(b) ES95 – dog fouling campaign. The primary school have been approached and are willing to work with the council on the dog fouling campaign.
ES105 SECTION 106 FUNDING GREEN LANE
To consider the attached report.
ES106 FOAL HURST WOOD
(a) The pond liner at the Foal Hurst wood dipping pond is leaking and volunteer group have asked if the liner could be renewed.
(b) The FHW management plan is due for renewal in 2025.
An updated plan will cost in the region of £3,000, with an option to have a species survey carried out at the same time. There will be additional costs for a species survey.
A copy of a previous quote is attached for indicative costs. Updated quotes will need to be obtained if members wish to proceed.
There is currently a total of £21,000 in the FHW reserve fund, £17,000 of which is S106 funding for improvements to the woodland. Both the above items are acceptable uses for the fund.
(c) The Committee Chairman has visited Fitzpatrick Woolmer to discuss the new signage for FHW. Proofs will be submitted for approval prior to production.
ES107 ALLOTMENT STORE
The Health and Safety inspection of the Allotment Store has now been completed.
A copy of the report is attached for members information. The structural survey for St Andrews Hall cost £910. Members re asked if they wish to engage a surveyor to carry out a structural survey for the building.
ES108 PLAYING FIELD USE GUIDELINES
To APPROVE the attached document.
ES109 CEMETERY
(a) Work on the widening the entrance will commence on the 14th April 2025. No funerals will be taking place during the period of the works, which are expected to take two weeks. Pedestrian access will be maintained, but there will be no vehicular access during that period.
(b) Garden of Remembrance – To consider the attached report from the Cemetery Clerk.
Under section 1 (2) of the Public Bodies (admission to meetings) Act 1960 the following items should be exempt from the press and public.
(c) To consider the attached report from the Deputy Clerk.
The meeting will be re-opened to the press and public.
ES110 MEMORIAL FIELD
At the full council meeting in January 2025, it was agreed that the council would fund a barrier for the Memorial Field. The original quotation was for £930. The council approved a budget of £1000 for the work. The contractor has since apologised and advised that an error was made when sending out the quote and it should have read £1930.
Members are asked to APPROVE the revised quotation.

Following interviews on the 2nd April 2025 a new member of the Estates team has been appointed. They will start on the 1st May 2025.
